Q: Who is your target market and how do you differentiate yourselves?

A: Our solution encompasses all the functionality required by Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapists and clinicians working with autism and other developmental disorders. TotalABA software is mobile-enabled, HIPAA compliant and costs about $1/day per clinician. Unlike our competitors, our solution is built on the robust Salesforce.com platform, enabling easy customization, inexpensive maintenance, fast onboarding and an uncomplicated path to international expansion.

Q: Is this a growing market?

A: The awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) has risen significantly over the last decade. About 1 in 45 people are now identified to be somewhere on the spectrum. This is a significant increase from 2012 when the estimates were 1 in 88 children. In addition, there are millions of people who need speech and occupational therapy.

The good news is that the earlier treatment is provided, the more likely there will be improvements. Significant awareness of this issue and an increase in the number of therapists and clinics available for people to seek treatment are helping more and more patients. Lastly, many of these treatments are now covered, at least partly, in many states, by insurance, so more people are able to seek the treatments they need.

Q: What problems are you solving and how does your software do this?

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: TotalABA is currently implementing tools to make the on-boarding process even easier. This, when combined with our free personalized “wizard training” and on-line library of video tutorials, will enable new clients to be up and running in half the time. We are integrating payroll capabilities into our Practice Management offerings and will be providing “parent portal” capabilities for information sharing and constant communication.
